Hey guys. I’m having issues with my Kickr V6.
Basically, what is weird is the fact that before December, I had absolutely no issues. I was using my work’s laptop to run Zwift most of the time, but I knew my company was restricting access to apps, so I bought a new laptop that was used a few times early in December without any issues. Then I went to Brazil to spend the Holidays there and when I came back mid to late-January, I noticed that my Wahoo as having issues connecting to everything, basically the Wahoo app, laptops and phone. Like I said, it’s weird because usually when I travel, I disconnect everything from the outlet and just keep the essentials so everything in my pain cave was completely disconnected for a month and a half. My wahoo was off. I also opened a case with support in March, I think, because I was having issues with the power dropping. I fixed the issue (probably temporarily) doing a factory spin that I cannot even do again.
Here is what I did so far.
- Completely disconnect the Kicker from the power - Power Cycle (not only for 30, but for hours)
- I restarted my laptop several times to make sure it was not a connection issue
- I tried using the Wahoo app to see if the app was reading the power
- I tried using Zwift on my phone instead of the laptop
- I tried everything above, one by one, leaving all the other devices off to avoid interference on my testing
- I tried in a different room to avoid being close to other devices (although I’m wi-fi)
- Since I was in another room, I certainly wanted to avoid issues with the outlet not providing enough power
- Reinstalled all the apps (Zwift and Wahoo) and no success
- Also tried without my Zwift bike to also ensure there was not interference because of the controls
- I tried wifi, bluetooth and ANT+ and no readings
What else can I try?
