After an activity yesterday I opened the Elemnt app on an Android device. My device (Bolt, model WFCC3), connected to the app (I heard the usual ‘three-tone-beep’) - but at that time the app was just showing its symbol (two upward arrows) on a white background, app was not loaded completely. After a while (showing these arrows on white background) the Elemnt app crashed, so I restarted it. Then the app loaded completely and I chose SYNC on the Bolt. But, in the app that activity is not showing details, no map, no heart rate. On the ‘history’-page in the app nothing more than a white stripe with date/time, distance, duration, average speed and max height; on the ‘details’-page of that activity no data at all, only the symbol of a three-legged star in a circle. Obviously, app/device were trying to sync the activity even if the app was not ready.
I do find the .fit-file of that activity on the Bolt, and when uploading it to a third party website, all data are shown. Each time I repeat the SYNC process (the Bolt device is showing SYNCING WAHOO… followed by SYNCED ALL) nothing happens in the app, still the above mentioned is shown in the Elemnt app.
Is there a way to upload/copy the .fit-file manually to the Elemnt app? Or will that activity be synchronized again after deleting it in the app?
Thank you, Wahoo support reacted fast. They recommended to “holding down your finger on the workout name that isn’t uploading under History tab in the app, and a menu will pop up at the bottom of the screen, and you can try re-syncing the workout. The Wahoo device will need to be on while you do this!”
Unfortunately, this is not working (Elemnt app version 1.77.0.22 on an Android device) - there is no menu popping up at the bottom of the screen. Instead a trash bin icon is popping up, at the top of the screen:
I had something like this happen to me at the weekend. I think the solution was tap on the ride in error to open it, then go to the three dots at top right and choose an option that said something like “delete and resync”. That may have been on a second level menu from the three dots option.
It fixed the issue for me, but now that it’s fixed I can’t recreate it and I no longer see the “delete and resync” option. Apologies for slightly vague answer but hopefully it helps. I think there was also a “delete forever” option which I didn’t choose - it was definately something like “delete and resync”.
I’m running Android which I guess from your screen shot you are too.
Thank you. Unfortunately, there has not been an error message (the Elemnt app just crashed, when re-opening tha app and running SYNC again on the Bolt, that workout was showing with incomplete data in the app).
Thank you for the hint. But my app is not offering to resync, just to delete the workout from device and cloud, see screenshot. I wonder what version you are using? The one I am using on an Android device has 1.77.0.22 (com.wahoofitness.boltcompanion).
