I’ve had my Elemnt Bolt V3 for only a couple months now and it has been working fine up until today. I finished a ride and opened the wahoo app to sync. the app showed the syncing bar for about 3 minutes before saying it failed. I thought no problem I’ll try again, but the app refuses to sync today’s ride. The computer itself has it saved in the history, but the app is not displaying it or uploading to Strava. I’ve tried recording another activity and the app will sync and display that one, but not the one I need it too. I’ve tried restarting both my phone and the computer, deleting the app and redownloading it, and repairing them but nothing seems to be working.
@MattL1 Are you away from your home WiFi by chance? I have had that happen once or twice and was not on my home network. Restarting the app and restarting the Bolt should make it pair but I have also had to unpair and repair as well on one occasion.
I’m having the same issue—re-pairing and restarting hasn’t worked either. Two rides today did sync but the third (only one outdoors) did not. It shows in Activity History in the device (Roam 3) but no amount of pressing sync is making it appear in the wahoo app and USB download doesn’t work anymore, sadly.
I have the same issue, they recently updated the software and clearly have broken it. Unfortunately recently they have a very poor track on doing this.
I have tried all the same things. Turning Wi-Fi on/off, turning the device off and on and killing the app, doing a new activity and syncing in which case get an error message that there’s a problem with the sync and to try again late. Does anyone from wahoo monitor this community to pick up issues like this? I have emailed support but they are quite slow to get back . Would seem staggering that they can break the sync process and not fix it quickly. It’s obviously been broken all this week as it worked for me last weekend but not this weekend.
I ended up figuring it out, but it might be a bit of a unique situation. When I rode, I recorded with both the elemnt and my apple watch. It turns out the wahoo app lumped both recordings into the same activity and had the apple watch recording displaying as default. In the activity, clicking the 3 dots and then changing the data file to the elemnt had it displaying the computer recording. I did have to reupload to strava.
There was an issue that a few internal users noticed over the weekend with syncing, it should be fixed now or the fix should be close to being pushed. Either way, we are on it!
