Since updating my Bolt a couple weeks ago it has not been working as is has done before. When riding a route and zooming in/out on the map, the Bolt freezes completely.
Device goes numb for 10 mins or so and then completely reboots. After resetting itself you have to scan with the Elemnt app in order to get it working again.
Does anyone have any suggestions to prevent this from happening?
I had the same thing today. It happened to me a couple of times before in the last two years: screen freezes, starts to initialize again and then it works ok.
But today the Element Bolt displayed “uninstalling” followed by “installing” and after that the QR screen popped up as if I just took it out of the box…
All the maps were gone and unable to load them because the device needs WiFi for that.
It looks like it only happens when I have a route loaded; not during free riding.
@YM_000 The best way to get issues addressed is to reach out directly to support. They don’t always read and respond to the forum posts - the forum is mostly a user to user way to communicate with some coach interaction occurring in a few threads.
