Yes, I’d closed the app the day before. The initial email with the link for tracking did not send to my partner so I aborted the test.
Starting the app was plan b which at least sent the email (correctly!), it just doesn’t stay connected to the app to enable continuous tracking.
I am perplexed too

When you say you closed the appl the day before, had you force closed it, that is, swiped up?
