ELEMNT companion app don’t sync created routes from Strava

Has anyone had the same problem and know how to fix it?

My ELEMNT companion app has stopped syncing routes from Strava

I create routes in Strava and it used to import it automatically to ELEMENT app where I was able to download it to my ELEMENT roam (old version).

But not anymore.

Few times it did it after doing some “test” route to push the possible stuck data on its way. But not anymore even that.

And the usual suspects, meaning pairing/connecting Strava and Element are ok and latest software updates taken.

The whole thing with unreliable data transfer and slow gps searching is everyday problem though with this gadget.

I’m thinking buying a garmin since the problem is so annoying :exploding_head:

Hey @SeaBreeze, welcome to the forums. Strange as this may sound, wahoo doesn’t actually have a community forum for all their stuff. This forum was created solely for SYSTM, their indoor training app.

It’s kinda become the place people (like you) come to when looking for guidance so there’s a ton of info on other Wahoo products it’s just got no real logical organization to it. :man_shrugging:t3:

Anyway, as to syncing Strava routes to the CA and to your ROAM v1, are you able to Sync using the ROAM itself? You’ll need to be connected to wifi.

Here are the steps from The Company support site

Oops, sorry for the wrong place.

The Roam (the thing that is the computer itself) is syncing well from Strava via WiFi so that part is okay. But there is rarely WiFis on the road :woman_shrugging: Thanks for the link, I’ll check that out!

You needn’t apologize. I’m a little surprised wahoo hasn’t restructured the forum to include all things wahoo since this is where a lot of their customers go anyway. It’s a bit of a dog’s breakfast in its present iteration.

As to your issue, if your ROAM has synced via wifi, then it should have the routes available for you should you choose to take on when you’re on the road and away from wifi, even if the CA doesn’t show them.
