That’s not really the question. I‘m meeting some friends I’ve not seen in a long time & riding outside on Sunday. It‘ll be cold, 2C or so, but it’s bikes with friends. That always wins.
Question is, for the Full Monty that’s also scheduled that day, should I do it Saturday or Monday? Or even Tues, I suppose, but Sunday‘s ride will be super-chill as it’s one friend’s first rides back after a broken rib
I am with Sir @Glen.Coutts – Just do your Half Monty on Saturday in lieu of the Primers, and enjoy a chill(y) ride with friends on Sunday – What is on the Schedule for Friday? Could you do Primers then?
You can’t go wrong with doing Primers in any case. Not only to get your engine primed but also to get your head in the game.
I was just saying that in my experience it’s not strictly necessary. If it was part of my plan, I’d do it. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t worry about not doing it.
Thanks for the ideas everyone.
I’ll do Primers today, Half Monty on Saturday and get some socialising in on Sunday. I’m looking forward to both the pain of the ramp and the chance to see some friends.
If I do HM early enough in the morning on Saturday, I can stream the Australian Nat Champs U23 while I ride, and try to remember what sunny skies look like
