Hi, my refurb bike arrived. It was dirty, barely given a wipe down with grease from use on some parts. When I finished putting it together and plugged it in, the motor gave a nasty smell and began to produce smoke. I have submitted a ticket but, unusually given my experience with Tacx/Garmin, have not received a response, and not been able to use live chat because it is not available, and the chat bot sends me in endless circles. Is this the equivalent of “support” at Wahoo? I am not having a great experience so far.
@bob_dynowski Hey Bob. Welcome back to the forums. I will have to say that Wahoo’s customer service has been, well, second to none. In my experience they have always been great and “on top of it” but if I remember correctly, they are only available M-F so, depending on when you submitted your ticket, it may be Monday before you get a response but in my experience, they will, without a doubt, get you sorted!
Well, it took a few days to get a response but i cannot complain. Straight swap for a refurbished v2 and it would be difficult to say it wasnt a new one. There is a distinct hum, occasionally a wine at higher cadences but i will keep an eye on thes and look at fixes. I would not want to return it. Its just that the NEO bike is eerily quiet in comparison. Only a few rides so far.I thought i was prepared for the tilt , but, whoa! I am looking forward to using it on climbing courses. It should be ideal prep for a week In Calpe at the end of november. Faith in Wahoo restored.
