So I’ve flatted out three tubes this winter on my Kickr Snap. Anyone else had this happen to them - esp. multiple times? I put in a trouble ticket @ wahoo, but just curious from the forum. I run a 23mm Vittoria slick with Conti tubes on a road rim, 100psi / 6.8 - 7 mb. Every ride I tighten down the…

I had a run of flats on my Kinetic Road machine - 3 in a week which I eventually tracked down to a slight knick in the tyre which I think was causing a hotspot causing the tube to fail. I replaced the tyre & all good since then.

I would put money on it being what @Glen.Coutts said about a burr. I had this problem for years on my dumb trainer, the punctures became more frequent as the rubber rim tape perished and exposed the inner tube to the sharp edges of the spike holes, fitted new cloth rim tape and never had the probl…

[image] Glen.Coutts: Is there possibly a burr on the rim? Less likely but is there a rough spot on the drum? How certain are you that there’s no debris stuck in the tire itself? Are you able to pinpoint the location of the flat? Is it always in the same place? [image] JGreengrass: I would…

Well as it turns out, the universe dropped a 25% off coupon at my local coop (REI), AND THEY SAID I COULD USE IT ON A KICKR! So problem solved, I guess. The younglings get the snap for their mountain bikes. :smirk:

Initial response from Wahoo Support…not sure I should find this as funny as I do. [image] Umm, they look like bike tubes…but are flat. :joy:  :joy:

[image] CPT_A: they look like bike tubes A great big hole from a blowout, or a little hole that leaks air slowly? Hole with jagged edges, like something rough had ripped it, or a smooth hole like something sharp had cut it? Any discolouration around the hole?

[IMG_6627] So yay! Very excited to take the new toy “out” for a spin. Only one issue as I see it coming out of the gate - that shiny new 11 speed cassette. Obviously I didn’t think this through. :grimacing: I’m running 9 speeds still on my road bike. As I understand it, I could put a 10 speed ca…

I’ve not checked the KICKR cassette specs, but couldn’t you install a 9s cassette on the KICKR?
