MAP to hard?

Hi. My FTP is 275 and MAP 340 and my question is. Can I go to hard on my Vo2max intervals? The SYSTM workouts starts somewhere in between 285-320. I normally do it the Norwegian way 4x4 (3min rest) @300w. Is it bettet to ad another interval or pedal harder moving towards the upper 340? What do you guys think is the right way?

Not a coach but I’d say if you’re feeling good, go for it. Especially if it’s just a single workout. If it was part of a plan and you’re finding the MAP targets too easy, you might benefit from a retest. The workout targets are always lower than our calculated metrics (which makes sense since those are our BEST single efforts and not meant to be repeated in a single session :slight_smile: )
