Music control not showing on head unit

After an update (last year) on my Wahoo Elmnt Bolt I lost the page to control music (volume, track etc)

The app has all the appropriate settings.

What happened, and how to fix??

Cheers

Assume you’re talking about a Bolt 1 or 2?

Hi Richie, long delay getting back to this
I believe it’s Bolt2

Assume it is connecting to the app correctly, you’re getting text messages or live track.

In the settings page in the Companion App you should be able to turn it on and off. If that doesn’t work try unpairing and repairing.

It’s been connecting to the app and I’ve been using it record the rides and upload to Strava and share location etc

I also haven’t been getting texts, emails etc as I used to

I’ve unpaired and paired as suggested and just get the same 4 screens

OK I don’t think it’s actually connecting to the app right then. Honestly not sure what’s going on then.

It will upload to Strava etc via WiFi without connecting to the app.

It uploads automatically when I stop the ride…

When it does that are you at home with wifi?

Sometimes, and other times I’m away from home and it does via phone data

Huh then it is connecting. Weird.

There’s some buttons:

Check for updates

Factory reset

Run Setup

Might that help? What consequences ?

No harm in factory reset, it should reload all your data page settings

Ok - Factory Reset has brought back my music control :slightly_smiling_face:

Not yet for calls and texts but I’ll look into that later

Thanks for your help

Yay!

Update:- I reconnected to our wifi which it has seemingly done and the unit is now completely locked and won’t respond to any button pushes. I have thought to let the battery run out but after 3h with the screen on it still shows 43% !

I shall wait until tonight or tomorrow morning. Surely the screen will die out eventually?

Update to the update: All good now. A reboot fixed it. Music control fine but no phone/message notifications (not bothered)

I’ll now take my leave…
