Overwhelmed with the options

Hey there, I‘m currently looking for a proper training plan for the next 12-16 weeks (8 hrs per week). But I really struggle to find the right one in SYSTM which fits my needs.

As of now, I have an FTP of 3.6 W/kg and have an Attacker profile according to Wahoo. I agree with that as I feel like I‘m good at hilly terrain and short bursts of power. I want to bump my FTP to 4 W/kg until summer (at latest).

However, I really want to improve at holding power over a longer period of time as I‘m struggling with that. Moreover, I‘m preparing for a race which is on 1st May 2026. It‘s 100 km long and has an elevation of 1,550m. It has a longer climb around 30-40 minutes and a steep section around 6-8 minutes.

What training plan improves what I described? I‘m a bit overwhelmed to be honest. Would be happy for some helpful replies!

I normally use the all purpose plan this time of year to prep for the race season. It’s 12 weeks and workouts will be tailored to work on your personal strengths and weaknesses. I’d use that in your position. Suggest you do the full frontal if you haven’t already, so you have accurate numbers and your rider type is definitely correct. Thst way you’ll get the best training plan for you.

Also I find the all purpose plan doesn’t have too many no vids and is pretty SUF heavy, which I like as it’s more entertaining than other plans with more no vids.
