Primers and Openers

Ok, now I know that there were two “event prep” videos at one time, Primers and Openers but now I can’t find either one of them. If memory serves, Primers was just a video without music but Openers had music. Where did these two “event prep” videos go??

Edit What I was thinking were “Openers” was actually “Tapers”.

@Eric Primers is now in the Wahoo Fitness channel. Openers is a NoVid. You can find either one just by typing in the search bar.

Hey Sir @Eric, I’m guessing the one with music you were thinking about is Igniter.

@JSampson Thank you, Sir. Yeah, I found them. I was looking under the Sufferfest channel for Primers, not under “Cycling” but once I did a search under “Cycling”, I found it. Also, what I thinking was “Openers” was actually Tapers. I found it as well. Thank you for replying. I was starting to think they had been done away with for some reason.

@Glen.Coutts The one that I was thinking was “Openers” was actually “Tapers” and come to find out, Primers are not under the Sufferfest Channel now.

Yep. They moved them a while ago. I think they should put them back and have said as much before.

Easy win for wahoo would be to put some tunes in Primers and it’s an instant SUF classic. It’s already got the video and the story.
Same thing with Cadence Builds. The Speed Demon of Sufferlandria is already in it. Add some music and BOOM, another SUF Classic.

@Glen.Coutts I whole heartedly agree with you Sir. I honestly don’t understand why Primers isn’t under the Sufferfest Channel now and I never understood why music wasn’t included in the Primers or Cadence Builds videos when they came out. My guess was to let the user choose their own music, especially with the “event prep” Primers video.

@Eric Right - Openers and Primers are interchangeable for a pre-race or test workout.

Tapers also has two versions - the one you found and also there is a NoVid that is also very good.

Also for variety there are similar workouts on other platforms like Zwift and TR Virtual.

There’s also a Phil Gaimon Openers session in his A Week With series.
