Dear fellow Sufferlandrians. I decided two days ago that I will storm the castle this Sunday (which is as for now in about 12 hours).
I don’t feel particularly strong, but I have to admit that I will not become stronger or more confident anytime soon.
I tried to attempt to become a king a year ago, but the old software crashed at some point and I couldn’t get the following video running within 10 minutes. I’m not sure about the reason, but back then I tried to stream my ride (I was actually streaming for the first and until now only time) and I guess that somehow caused the problem. Anywho to quote Job.
Since then, I wanted to do it several times, but I always stepped back. Almost the same this time. My wife and kids are on vacation since last Friday; I couldn’t because I had to finish a big project at work until Thursday. But I figured that being alone for two weeks is almost a once in a decade chance. And yet I almost talked myself into moving it again: I had to work a lot the last weeks, didn’t get enough sleep nor training.
But I couldn’t find the KoS decals and the Jersy (which I really would like to have), I thought that I missed that chance since Sufferfest is Systm now and we might become Wholigns. But the decals and Jersy are still available and I don’t want to miss out on this opportunity. I almost did it once, it won’t happen twice. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
I will post any updates, since I will have to fight and I don’t do Facebook, Twitter, etc.
But rides will be uploaded to Strava, so if you are interested to see how I progress:
(No idea why the forum won’t let me just post the words CRUSH IT but here are some extra words so that I can simply post the old school Knighthood encouragement that is the words CRUSH IT)
I did longer outdoor rides. But Indoor ist different, especially in erg mode. At lower power levels, I couldnt just stand to get some relief.
Until before the 10th ride I was thinking of adding another ride. But the last one required everything that was left.
Lol. @DameLisa, this is the new T2 model with the finely filed barbs. Should we go back to the old T1 model? I pulled this one out of storage, freshly sharpened and very uncomfortable just as a newly Knighted Knight would like.
