I just finished “the model” which has a TSS/IF of 78/0.89. In TP it has imported the workout and set a TSS/IF of 38/0.62. I spot checked a few other SYSTM exports over the last month and have the same issue. Going back to early January and the TSS/IF is similar between the two but not identical.
I haven’t asked TP yet but could anything cause this? I’m guessing that TP is calculating its own TSS/IF values and not just taking the SYSTM values but this is a large difference…

I think I found the problem. “The Model” workout time is 59mins and TP shows that amount of time spent in HR zones but only shows about 25mins in Power Zones. The TP graph for power looks complete so guessing this is a Training Peaks problem. I’ll open a ticket with them

If anyone else has this, this might have fixed it. Check your TP threshold power and power zone settings. Make changes then go into each workout, click files and then recalculate. It wont match SYSTM IF/TSS exactly but it will be close and the time spent in each power zone also jumped from 25mins to 59mins. My guess is that my new running power pods might have updated my cycling power threshold when I got them a few weeks back and caused some other issues.

it is likely to be Training Peaks and your running pods
I have seen that TP doesn’t do power profiling per sport
(Or at least, it didn’t use to)
And my FTP estimated from the Stryd is ~70% higher than from my bike PM.
SO if TP updated using the Stryd power, then your bike power will vary (and in my case) be significantly lower than expected.

Thanks, it is the Stryd Pods I’m using and I have asked TP if anything could have automatically updated my Threshold Power and Power Zones. I’m interested in tracking the Stryd power readings but the numbers are much higher than my bike PM too so I’ll be using hrTSS for running.
