Systm workouts now in Zwift

Great.

My one question, do the workouts count towards badges if done in Zwift? I presume not but worth confirming…

No. The workouts exported to Zwift are invariably the outdoor versions and SYSTM wouldnt register it as having been completed in terms of the SYSTM badges. You could, if you wanted to, just “play” the SYSTM vid version on another device, and even technically at another time altogether to get a badge or to have SYSTM record that you’ve completed the workout. That said, that is kinda cheating the system as the intent of the SYSTM badges is to encourage you to have the SYSTM experience which includes the videos that accompany the workouts. Not illegal, though I personally wouldn’t do it.

Makes sense on badges.

Are you sure workouts transfer to Zwift as outdoor versions though? I just tried Defender and an On Location and it looked like the standard version. But maybe the versions are the same for those.

I am not 100% certain no.

I am however 100% certain that I hate that workout soooo much (mostly because I suck yak balls at sustained efforts and this one just kicks my sorry butt!) and that I would not hate it any less as an outdoor or indoor version whether outdoors irl or on Zwift :joy:

It’s easy enough to check by looking at the indoor/outdoor workout profiles in SYSTM and seeing how well they match the exported versions in Zwift

The same thing happened when you could do SYSTM workouts on RGT: it didn’t count towards your work plan in SYSTM. Didn’t make sense to me.

What im doing is executing any new (not done yet) Systm workout on Systm and having Zwift running along just to get the kms and climbing to Strava. Systm workout is only for systm calendar and getting those badges. It makes perfect sense not letting WO done on Zwift to give the badge. You have to do it on the real enviroment…well except the no vid workouts that would be lovely to get the badge from doing then on Z.:thinking:

Yep. Theres an all yoga badge but not an all Cycling badge that could add all the cycling workouts including the no video ones that dont even have a badge categorie for themselves.

My bad… I marked all my “never done workouts” to show in my list (favorites :heart:) but not all are giving badges. Its a way of easily recognize if I did it already or not.
