The battery retaining compartment for the heart rate monitor

I have had 2 heart rate monitors where the battery retaining tabs have failed

Has any one else had this problem

The last one was only used for 1 month and the retaining tabs broke and no longer held the battery securely for the monitor to function properly

I feel this is a major problem and should not happen Is there a replacement battery retaining disk available if not I will be purchasing a Garmin bike computer

Two things:

You can use any brand HR strap with any brand bike computer. My Wahoo computer works great with my Wahoo and Magene straps.

The straps Wahoo sells now have rechargeable batteries, no retaining tabs, so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

Thanks for your reply
The monitor I have was purchased as new from others but had not been used and still in the packaging. See photo attached. The cutting blade is pointing to the retaining tabs. I am attempting to glue the tabs and hopefully this may work

I had the same problem and wahoo send me a completely new unit even though my warranty was expired and the unit maybe 3 years old. I’ve had really good experiences with their customer support.
If you have the receipt just contact them. Maybe they will even help you without one. I don’t know.

Happened to mine about 2y ago. Contacted Wahoo support to enquire if they supply replacement covers. They sent a complete Tickr free of charge.

Not sure if same would happen today with useless Wahoo chatbot.

Thanks
I have sent my request in and am to hear back. They did reply saying that I am a line
Kind Regards
