As many of you may already know, Wahoo announced that the 2026 Tour would be it’s final tour in that form.
A few of us have begun considering what future events could look like, and we would greatly value feedback from those who know the Tour best (you!) Your input will help us better understand what you value most about the Tour, identify opportunities for improvement, and guide the Davis Phinney Foundation’s planning process moving forward. Timely responses will ensure that we have sufficient time to thoughtfully evaluate the feedback and make the appropriate preparations.

Wahoo needs to separate the Tour of Sufferlandria from any tour of wahoolia. Sufferlandrians will ride the tour and fundraise, but Wahoo has done so much damage to the Sufferfest and Sufferlandria, that any tour with wahoo’s name on it will still leave a bitter taste. Why not two tours? One wahoo tour in late fall to encourage moving back indoors, and one ToS right before the spring classics to get people back outdoors. My family has not been directly affected by Parkinson’s, but has suffered through cancer and dementia. Raising funds for them fits right into my charitable donations.

This is a great initiative. The Tour has always been such a massive part of the Sufferlandrian calendar, so it’s good to see proactive planning for the future. I’ll make sure to get my feedback in before the August 15th deadline.
