I am going through my ride data from years past to (finally) reconstruct my entire ride history so it is as accurate and complete as possible.
I’ve noticed a bunch of these activities in my Wahoo SYSTM calendar whenever I’ve needed to go back to confirm something that’s unclear from my Strava export. They’re labeled “TICKR Offline.” Screenshot attached to show exactly what it’s like.
Using 19 October in this screenshot as a ‘case study’… the TICKR Offline is longer than my two actual recorded activities. There’s no activity data in my Polar account, where I write a second file separate from everything I do with Wahoo. There are only two files there corresponding to SUF Idol and Wolfpack.
Is it possible you have a TICKR X and are dual recording/uploading the activities?
Maybe you are uploading the SYSTM Ride and the TICKR X records your activity too. But the TICKR X just records a workout and your heartrate since nothing is connected to the TICKR X.
After the workout the TICKR X uploads the whole recording it captured from the session.
Wahoo detects a dual recording and prioritizes the longer TICKR X workout over the more detailed (power + cadence + —) but shorter SYSTM workout(s).
According to the Q&A you should make sure the TICKR X is connected to SYSTM or something else. This should not happen in this case or is a bug with TICKR X recording although it IS connected.
How do I know that the TICKR X is recording an offline workout?
If the TICKR X is not connected to any other app or device, the TICKR X will record an offline workout whenever it is worn and detects your heart rate. You can confirm the TICKR X is active by double tapping the TICKR X.
You could delete the TICKR X from your wahoo app so it can never again sync offline activities.
But if you connect it again it will sync it’s 50+ hour storage
Might just be a TickrX thing then? I’m pretty sure that’s the item it happens with. I use a Tickr Fit now (still have the X but prefer the Fit cause it slides far less) and haven’t noticed these additional activities.
Yes. The TickrX has memory and records activities on its own offline. And when connected to WA it uploads them into the Wahoo cloud. It seems that they are not being correctly identified as duplicates. And it’s recording it’s own activities even when it’s been connected to another device. I think a message to Wahoo Support would help with this.
