Wahoo Kickr Bike Shift connected but not responding

Wondering if anyone out there has a tip:
I’ve not been able to use my recent purchase “Wahoo Kickr Bike Shift”, which is not responding when I use the shifters and not communicating any data (speed, cadence, power), despite being recognized and connected to the Wahoo app (both Bluetooth and WiFi).
I have repeatedly disconnected the device completely and fully, and reconnected the device to the Wahoo app and my iPhone. The device shows in the app as “connected”, but otherwise there is no indication that the device is actually working. The shifters do not work. The Wahoo SYSTM app does not get data. When I sit on the training bike and pedal I feel no resistance. The training bike does not respond to anything.
PS: I have filed a help request with Wahoo five working days ago, who are unresponsive; I am wondering if this is due to a flurry of issues and whether I should be concerned?

Hey @Lucas is the email associated with your forum account the correct one that you use? I will follow up with our customer service department, but I wanted to make sure they can find it easily. TY!

Hello Helga,

It is.
Thanks for responding

I received this message from Wahoo support, and repeating several times (in the instructions it said “repeat 3x”) was effective.

    Hello Lucas,

Thanks for reaching out to Wahoo Fitness Support! I’m sorry that you are experiencing some trouble with your KICKR BIKE SHIFT.

KICKR BIKE SHIFT’s ship with a plastic/cellophane wrapper over the HCU connection. Could you please check to see if all pieces of the wrapper have been removed.

Once confirmed that there are no wrapper pieces, please wipe down the connector and reconnect (see photo below).

Then power cycle from the BIKE side of the power adaptor for 30 seconds.

Once you’ve powered the BIKE back on, check the SHIFT by riding and shifting without any apps or devices connected. Do you feel resistance changes? Try to shift through the full range of gears.

If this fails to resolve on the first attempt, wiggle the magnetic connector between the shifter connection on the stem. Ensure that it is fully seated. Then, please repeat the steps in full 3x.

If the issue persists, unplug the SHIFT, have a friend press and hold the power pigtail from the SHIFT at an angle, plug it back in, then hop on the SHIFT while the friend continues to hold the power pigtail at an angle, hop on and see if the SHIFT has and resistance changes without any apps or devices connected. If you release the power pigtail, does it stop working?

Please let me know if you need any further assistance and I’ll be happy to assist from there.

    Thanks,
