Which trainer are you using?

1st Gen KICKR, with a permanently mounted 2010 Specialised Roubaix. I have started using a iPad mounted using a tripod with tablet holder.

It’s a very inexpensive one I got from Home Depot or Lowes, brand might be Lasko. Three speeds and the fan part tilts up. Works great! I’ve had it about 3 years.

Newly refurbished pain cave/utility room :joy:

Stages SC3 with wellgo pedals (for spd/spd-sl dual compat), Kickr Headwind, laptop w/tacx ant+ adapter, Sony tv/soundbar, with yoga mat, reebok plates (with hand grips) for the strength and yoga workouts

Hidden behind me are the two bikes (so does the sc3 count as n+1?), and the rest of my riding gear, racks for car…

I use a Wahoo Kickr and Climb with my iPad (not pictured). There’s also a Wahoo Headwind. The bike is a titanium frame Motobecane with SRAM Force eTap AXS groupset. The treadmill is my wife’s Nordictrak X32i that I use occasionally as well.

There’s one thing missing—the Sufferlandrian national flag. I plan to reward myself with that after completing the Knighthood challenge (and when they start being sold again—hint, hint to the Minions :slightly_smiling_face:).

Sir Cody - partial picture as it’s such a small room (amazing what wide angle can do)
The trainer is a Neo2T

The Kickr Bike is the star of the show. But I know you all want to know about my basket…

@David.McQuillen.KoS I like the setup.

And please, do elaborate on the basket. It actually made me laugh out loud . I understand that the bike doesn‘t provide any storage options - this is an interesting solve.

My setup is a work in progress as I try to combine:

  • Space for yoga
  • Spot on the floor for playing with kids
  • A place for suffering on the bike
  • My sports dressing room
  • Storage for road bikes and
  • Weightlifting/Bodyweight equipment

On the bright side, my wife allowed me to do with the whole garage as I please and remove the car permanently.

KickR Bike and Headwind treat me well during my exercise.

That basket is genius. Until it’s full of sweat / tears / puke.

Do you just leak on the carpet?

Nice, but you should replace the rug with one of these to really give the full “Downward Spiral” experience…

Is there any harm in putting a club decal on my Kickr flywheel? Or elsewhere on the kickr?

Elite Direto. I have a love-hate relationship with Erg mode. And not in a good way.

The Mac Mini is an excellent option for running SUF. At least, that’s been what I’ve found.

How do you like having the monitor down low? Mine’s at eye level, but I’ve seen an increasing number of (nice) setups where the screen is at or below handlebar level.

As mentioned above about monitor down Low. I keep mine Just below handelbar level. Not intencional but was the Best place to put the screen, and infact it work fine, as when riding outdoors you’re looking ahead and down the road not up

Its not good for riding form and was hastily organized as a temporary setup several months ago. Probably, time for me to scrounge up a wee table.

The MacMini is great. Very reliable and still performs a server function in the house.
