Alps trip training plan

I have booked 7 days cycling holiday in the French Alps at the end of June (6 months away). Each day will include a lot of climbing, averaging 2k meters elevation per day. I am looking to start a training plan in preparation of the trip.
Any suggestion on what would be the ideal plan to follow?
Last winter I have followed the 12 weeks program for Mountain Fondo (road event prep). Is this still the best training program for a climbing holiday? I would like to change the plan, mainly to experience different training sessions, as I have seen that for Mountain Fondo, there is a limited type of videos.
Furthermore, is there a way to extend the training beyond the 12 weeks? Or should I just start a new one once this is finished?
