šŸš€šŸš€šŸš€ Announcing: SYSTM, the new home of The Sufferfest šŸš€šŸš€šŸš€

I have been dutifully reading through this thread as I find the time. While I have a few technical nitpicks with the change, and groan inwardly at big mountain and the taming of some visuals, I recognize it was a necessary, important business decision to ensure continuance of some kind.
I found this post, Sir Francois, my favourite of the day of not the month. We all get so attached to certain products, perhaps lifestyles, coworkers, employers… We easily forget that in stark daylight that at its core it is or began as a business relationship. No matter how much we love it or it has changed our lives…

I always thought that as much as I love Sufferfest branding and humour, Maybe jokes about suffering and torture aren’t as appealing to speakers of another language living in a place where those things are happening in reality around them or a part of very recent history.
Sufferfest sure works for me though! :joy: I dearly miss the grand intro/outro music. I see the humour remains though. Cotty’s crack about the skulls of those who didn’t finish a workout about killed me laughing!

Thanks all for sharing your thoughts. Back to my reading… I wonder if I’ll ever catch up.

Offline users rejoice; as of 7.12.0 on iOS the downloaded video filter has returned!

Although it seems the filter only shows for Categories (the big buttons at the top of the library) e.g. Cycling and not for ā€˜Explore by Channel’ e.g Sufferfest.

It wasn’t in the release notes so not sure if its on the other platforms too… :crossed_fingers:t2:

It seems to be in the Windows version as well.

@David.McQuillen.KoS is there any update regarding importing other workouts into SYSTM. I am hoping this is still coming soon!

We’re still working on it. And I’m disappointed we haven’t got it out the door yet – but unexpected back-end issues and bugs with SYSTM’s launch meant we couldn’t get to it as soon as we hoped. Next up is workout history and then our attention turns to the outside activities.

More than getting the system workouts to my gps and do them outside what is important for me and many users for sure is to get all the group outdoor rides data pushed from strava to the calendar and consider those efforts in the training plan.
Dont understand why we cant personalize the number of workouts and the days to do them either.
Everyone has a different shedule and needs and all that must be available for the user to customize.
It would be great if I could say to system that I have one to one and a half hours a day at tuesdays wednesdays and thursdays to do structured training and strenght training and that I have regular group rides that take about 4h each at saturdays and sundays in order the plan would be adjusted to those requirements.
Currently I get to many workouts spread from monday to sunday and some days there are short 40 minutes workouts making me change completly the calendar to grab the 1h workouts in the mid week days and ditch the rest but that sometimes makes me go hard in consecutive days and I get the feeling Im missing some important workouts

@David.McQuillen.KoS
I can’t wait to be able to get my outdoor rides (recorded on Elemnt Bolt) and indoor rides on Systm both showing up on 1 training calendar. Also So I can look at either App and see how many miles and hours I’ve ridden so far this year (Systm isn’t very good at this at all… all Systm shows me is how many hours I’ve done each week )

Just seen that ToS has also now been culled. The final vestiges of brand scrubbing. All that special sauce is on the floor. I hope those concerned are now contented. I ain’t, I’m just sad. Good luck with the Tour of the ā€œbig mountainā€. I won’t be joining you #PRAISEBETOSUF

I feel your pain Sir @SupaSarge You know I do.

I won’t even try to argue with you (despite my compulsion to do just that).

I even understand you not joining the Wahoolimabob Tour as it seems so lacklustre compared to the OG ToS of yore.

In saying that though, I am doing this tour, I’ll try to raise a little money for a good cause and I’m planning a little additional suffering for Stage 7. If you don’t join the tour you’re still welcome to join me for that. By join me, I mean, say hi, then take off like the mountain goat you are while I slog away for a couple hours. More info here:

Oh that’s REALLY crafty of you Von Coutts!

I see what you’re up to …. my-o-my, gently trying to tease the rug from my personal and rather pointless protest by luring me into your own ToW ride!! Sneaky, very very sneaky!

So, whilst I’m hugely flattered by your very generous (if cunning) offer, I’m going to hold fast on my dummy-out protest to uphold its principle if I may. That said plse share a link to your Davis Phinney fundraiser and I’ll tip into the pot. And good luck to all riders :kissing_heart:
