Best training plan to improve hockey fitness

Hi - now that hockey season is back on (Sept 2022), was going to switch my current training program (100 metric century) to something more geared to improving quick bursts of acceleration on the ice (of course endurance is still required, but hockey is very different from cycling - skate as hard as you can, get to the bench, breath, and then go again like intervals). I was working through some of the plans and was looking at Crit or time trial - or is there another plan more suited for this kind of fitness?
thanks!

Hey @BluesShuffleupagus ,
You may find the AC/NM building block plan to your liking.

I asked a similar question about skiing dryland training, but more about the workouts. Thinking I need to look at the plans more closely, and also schedule a talk with a coach.

I am a ski coach/instructor, and my winter stuff is very definitely more leg strength, more bursts of energy, more quick twitch, and of course, edge precision along with rotary precision (controlling rotation of the feet and legs separate from the upper body). We have a lot of hockey folks on staff and it seems as though the training needs would be similar in some ways. Interested in this thread and discussion.
