I’m looking at making some changes to the pain cave and hoping to improve the SYSTM experience as part of that. Currently I use an ipad for workouts and airplay to 55” TV when I want a bigger image. It’s a bit clunky though as parts of the video screen are often obscured by the workout display and I have black bars on the side.
Would a mac mini (macos SYSTM app) get around this? Is image quality noticeably better than casting from the ipad?
Any other tips for optimum setup?
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Dave
I’ve been using an HDMI adapter for my Ipad for a number of years. There are (pricier) Apple certified ones, and others that work well and that have additional slots.
I get picture and sound quality as good as what my Ipad gets on my PainCave TV.
As far as the black bars on the side, I get that too and I have always thought it is a function of the tv/Ipad settings, which I have never been able to adjust. Mind you I don’t miss anything significant from the videos.
I might be wrong on this but sometimes when I’m using an hdmi connector from my iPad and it doesn’t fill the whole screen I usually check my Tv Aspect Ratio to see what works best, I have an LG so Aspect Ratio might be in something else on other tvs but usually you get 4-6 settings whether it’s 4:3 or 16:9 or Vertical Zoom and see what works best for you.
Thanks guys. I actually tried a HDMI connection from my android phone and image quality does seem to be improved from the wireless mirrored ipad option. Still not quite full screen but definitely more watchable.
Have you tried changing this slider?
Depending on your monitor size you may still get black bars, but possible smaller ones.
Prebacivanje na žičanu vezu je ključno za bolji kvalitet slike Ako i dalje imate crne trake, to je verovatno do formata izvornog video snimka SYSTM-a ili TV postavki
