Thank you to all the morning riders who came out and taunted me by riding slow and easy and then sprinting- er, I mean riding with me and cheering me on and pushing me hard for every mile. And also for all the potty humor that made us all giggle like 9 year olds. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks as well to the two who stuck it out for the second hour. You don’t realize how much the company helps until you ride the final 30 minutes alone and it feels like an eternity even at recovery pace.

Hopefully next week we will have Sir Ruben again to help us all PR those climbs again.

We didn’t make it all the way around for full two laps. I blame Sir Glen’s unfinished business. He made sure Sir Alan finished a solid number 2…

On the plus side, glad to know the setup worked for everybody this week. On the down side, had to take a pass on all due to a work(ish) crisis(ish).

From what I’m hearing, Sir Glen or Sir Alan get to pick next week’s route?

How is it determined who gets to pick? I bailed early on the ride yesterday.

Also, I hope your crisis has (or crises have) resolved.

You get to pick since I’m 100% out for next week due to prior commitments.

Lol!! I’m always tentative for the Saturday am rides cuz, well, y’all know.

But tentative is better than 100% negative so I’ll take a peek at some routes and chime back in.

Edit: so, I checked and I could get a badge for the Makuri 40 and that world is open on the 20th so, that’d be my pick. Road to Sky with Alpe du Zwift would be choice #2

Edit #2 (for realz) :innocent: My sub has officially expired. So, unless I am able to make the ride, I’m not likely gonna re-up at this point in the season, though I might just do one more month.

Any world can be used for an event even if the world isn’t “open” on that day.

Great! Then I won’t be the only one suffering.

Yesterday after you left I threatened to choose 4 loops of Lutscher. But I like your idea better. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Cuz you always have important… business to take care of. At least you’re regular. * cough *

I think I was there as well for a little while. Just for fun, after I lyed down for my recovery nap, they muscle which wraps around your inner thigh decided to cramp. That took out Sunday’s ride.
Oh, I do look forward to next week’s ride.

sir @emacdoug : I’m setting up my rides for this week. Are or aren’t we heading up Alpe de Zwift?

I think that’s for Sir @CPT_A and Sir @Glen.Coutts to decide. I’ll let them make the final decision. Since I will of course be riding multiple Omniums.

I defer to Cap’n Sir Ian as I am an accidental admin, my sub has officially expired and other bits of business

So it is writ, so shall it be…

Thought the original goal of these was to be a fun weekend social spin for Knights and Citizens. Leave it to Sufferlandrians (you guys) to turn it into the Bataan Death March…

:joy:  :joy:

:face_with_symbols_over_mouth: on the weekend I absolutely can’t make it too! Blasphemy!
:scream: :sob:

We need an Alp du SUF.

Even Sir Standsalot gave up on riding up Mt Sufferlandria.

Have you ever thought the lava in the volcano circuit looks VERY much like the bleeding eyes on the old flag?

I’ve signed up for the 8:00 am CDT ride. While my sub is expired, there might be a glitch in the matrix.
