do ye need/want me to lead one of these, Cap’n Sir?

Edit: also, did you mean to make the afternoon one 3:00 pm CDT?

Kind of you to step up, as always Sir @Glen.Coutts. Per my Saturday schedule, I was going to make the early ride this week - you can join me there or lead the afternoon ride if you can manage. Or both.

Per usual, if anyone wants to step up for the Europe morning/Asia afternoon Sunday ride, it’d be appreciated!

I mighta done the afternoon but 3:00 pm CDT is a bit late for this cat (that’s nap time around here  )

How’s about if I changed the time to 1pm CDT? Better?

You are of course welcome to join us in the morning…

Not going to lie, I’m really glad the rest of the group couldn’t see/hear what was going on in my pain cave. It wasn’t a pretty sight!

What I had a hard time with, and it’s probably a function of the rubber banding, is I stand up every 5 minutes and when I downshifted to stand I’d start to fall behind so I’d have to push a little to catch up and then Id back off to hold the group and all of sudden I’m busting off the front like I’m in a TdF sprint finish. It’s like backing off to downshift had more of a drag effect than backing off when I caught up did.

Yeah I generally stick to ERG mode on banded. You can get some bad back-and-forth doing manual gearing.

Round 2. Another solid group. Big guys were getting a little chippy out there! :smirk:

Thanks again for coming out folks. Good times!

THAT’S RIGHT! ALSO flexing the tron bike, Dame Keeley B slayed the Sgurr.

(TBF she was a little fresher than the rest of us…:open_mouth::wink::smirking_face:)

@Sir_Alan and Sir @emacdoug DM or post me your picks for next week’s outing - maybe we can flip a coin or something…

Downtown Titans or Legends and Lava?

Not sure what kind of requirements you’re looking for but these appear similar to today’s route.

Very much so, since Downtown Titans is where we started.

And legends and lava is the most Sufferlandrian route of them all (Fluffy AND the volcano!). Tried to run that one but Zwift support said that’s one of the only routes that can’t be used as a group ride…for reasons I forget.

Huh, guess I’m a ton of help!

Will they let you do worlds that aren’t open at the time, like say Knickerbocker in NY if NY isn’t currently active?

We could be evil and do Climber’s Gambit and go up a big hill!

Yeah, I believe the open world restrictions don’t apply to group rides. We can stage anywhere we want.

I mean, I’m game - but that would likely be more than an hour. And remember it’s a banded ride, so hills only have to be terrible if you want them to be…
