Hi everyone. Just wondering if somebody could help me diagnose the cause of this noise on my Kickr core? Bearings? Thanks
Best to contact Support if you haven’t already.
Check that you frame is not rubbing on the freehub. There are two adapters and one is very narrow and the other is wider. You need to use the second adapter. There’s instructions on how to swap them over. I had the same issue and it left a mark on my frame and the supplied freehub.
if you are having an issue, or a similar issue to the OP, you really ought to submit a direct support request to wahoo.
Don’t expect them to provide any updates in the forums. They rarely post in here. Unless you’re wondering whether the OP has had an update but he’s as new to the forums as you are @HarrisonFox so might not have even read the suggestion provided to him
Thanks Glen. I messaged wahoo and after some communications with them they decided to field retire my unit. They weren’t happy with the customer experience I had, so sent me a refurbished unit. I really wasn’t expecting this and thought I’d be pulling things apart to replace bearings etc. The refurbished unit feels significantly better than my original one, the two units aren’t even comparable. So much quieter and when you stop pedalling for a moment then resume it feels much more realistic.
Great to hear that and thanks for checking back in! I’ve had nothing but outstanding customer service when I reach out directly myself so it’s good to know others have too!
