So Zwift allows users to build workouts from the ground up, as does Training Peaks ect..
What is stopping Wahoo from opening up this feature for subscribers? I appreciate the pre mades but I do pretty specific training and would like to get into the nitty gritty on my own.
@Subtlebong My guess is that there are a lot of other good workout creators available and Wahoo doesn’t think they can add value here. What do you think are some of the limitations in other workout builders that could be improved upon or are you just looking for an all in one place solution?
Note that Wahoo does have a workout player in Wahoo App - so you can upload your created workout and run it in the app or on a Wahoo bike computer.
well, the workout creators i know of, mainly TrainingPeaks requires a paid subscription to do so, unless there is a free creator i can link to the Wahoo app, this is of course the best solution so please share
Yeah.. i see others doing workouts via intervals.icu but its just not working for me. I see that plans are supported from intervals but not routes so back to where I started. No way to make a custom workout on my kickr without ANOTHER subscription..?
Are you looking to create your own structured workouts? ‘Routes’ would be outdoor rides, but you did mention you would be riding on a Kickr. If you would like to build a custom workout on intervals and sync it with Wahoo, this is how you do it. First link your wahoo account under settings → connections:
Enjoy your workouts! Just drop another post in this thread if you run into any issues or if you have more questions. I have been using this method for a while now (both indoor and outdoor) so I’d be happy to help where I can.
So my issue is now that intervals.icu isnt grabing workouts into its calendar any further back than 3 or so weeks. Ive adjusted the date range and reclicked the “upload old data” about ten times and noooo go.
I do know a few workarounds for that, although they might be a bit of a pain depending on how many you’re trying to sync and what you used to generate the workouts.
If they’re SYSTM workouts: In the Wahoo SYSTM app (or systm.wahoofitness.com) under settings there is a button to download your activity history. That will give you a csv file that you can open with e.g. excel that contains links to the fit files of your activities. You can import those manually into intervals.
In the Wahoo app itself in your profile settings → authorized apps you can also select Dropbox. That will give you the option to then share your fit files to Dropbox by going to a ride in your history, clicking it, and then under the triple dots in the top right sharing → Dropbox.
If you’re on iOS you can also check out the Rungap app that will allow you to sync all kinds of sources, including Wahoo and Intervals. Though I do believe you may have to pay a one time fee.
May I ask why you are looking to share all your past workouts to intervals.icu?
