As far as SYSTM goes, a climbing challenge is a challenge with workouts that are designed to strengthen your climbing ability rather than actually put you on a hill and have you climb. Unlike RGT which is a SIM so the elevation gained there would simulate irl elevation gain. If you’re after total elevation gain I guess you could technically, pick any hill on RGT real or magic while doing the prescribed workout controlled by SYSTM.
As for me, as a rule I find doing workouts on a sim like RGT and Zwift are pretty boring so would always choose the video workout in SYSTM over the same workout in RGT. For a No-Vid workout though, it at least gave me something to look at. I even customized the bots so sometimes they’d pass me especially during the recovery bits in the intervals, and sometimes, during the harder efforts ,I would pass them.
Tried restarting devices and logging out and back in, still no badge. If it doesn’t resolve itself in a day or two, I’ll ask the minions for assistance, or maybe just ride them again…
I had similar in January with the badge not showing after doing all 4 rides. Since I’d done one on 1/1 I rode that again and got the badge immediately after completing it the second time. .
Restarted both my computer and my phone and logged out and back in, still no badge. I doubt it is a time zone issue, I’m in the US Pacific Timezone, and began the first ride after noon on Feb 1 - so it was Feb 1 or 2 everywhere on earth by the time I started.
Worst case, re-riding the sessions wouldn’t be awful - the scenery and commentary on all of the Tasmanian rides is wonderful, and the other 3 rides seem to pretty effectively work on my MAP weakness, although my experience with this series convinces me that I need to retest and up my numbers as soon as I’m able.
Probably wasn’t the smartest idea to do Mt. Wellington, the day after half Monty but you’ve got to get the challenges in when you can. Had a quick I’m gonna die moment, right before the last ascent but got back up to power and finished.
Finished Angels this morning. While I don’t quite agree with calling 10 minutes of non-stop over-under a “warm-up” … the major efforts and intermediate recoveries really worked well. I’m glad the challenge motivated me add this into my mountain fondo plan.
I’ve got Angels coming up this weekend and will be warming up with …checks notes… Short KOM training session. Good for the badge, but can’t wait to see how bad the legs get thrashed.
IKR? Now that I’m back from the plague, I’m trying to complete (finally) the last of my badges, so since the Feb Challenge is all about climbing, I’ve decided I’m ONLY doing climbing vids for the month of February. Finished Pyrenees yesterday, have some gruesome Pro Rides to complete in the next week.
