Garage bike lock

I’ve got six bikes, plus a couple of kids bikes, in my garage and I’m looking for a way to lock them up while I’m storing them. Has anyone got any good recommendations?
A long steel cable with loops on the end and a decent padlock would probably be enough to slow someone down, but there are many different type of cable out there.

Hi
For mine I got this. It can be bolted onto the ground, but even without bolts it can’t be moved. Then use a coated steel chain when you’re away for longer.

You’ve put this down and then you chain all your bikes to it? Each individually or one big chain through them all?

To secure them for when you’re away I would use a proper chain and secure them all. After you want to deter burglar and convince them to move on to an easier target. If someone is determined and has time and is undisturbed they’ll get through anything. my local bike shop told me a story where they cut through the concrete wall and emptied the store, so…

If they are in and I’m not there I know they’ll get things, I just want to slow them down and make things awkward.

In addition to slowing them down, you can also register your bikes at project529.com/garage to have at least a possibility of recovering any bikes that do get stolen.

Good idea, I’ll get them registered.
