Garmin has purchased Training Peaks and Train Heroic.
According to the email I got:
“As a valued customer we wanted to proactively assure you that TrainingPeaks will continue to operate as a cross-platform ecosystem, enabling athletes and coaches to use the devices, platforms and services that best suit their needs.”
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Don’t screw up Training Peaks please, like you did Sufferfest. Bit strong, you didn’t completely screw it up but you sucked the soul from it. I’m still using it, just. A small dabble with MyWoosh, but….. my son relies on Training Peaks. Everything backed up on intervals.icu just in case. Buyouts usually mean streamlining and job cuts though. Fingers crossed.
That’s good to hear. Maintaining that cross-platform compatibility is crucial for most athletes who don’t want to be locked into a single brand’s hardware ecosystem.
