Half Monty Makeover! 🚀

Attention Sufferlandrians and Wahooligans,

We all know the Half Monty is the “kinder, gentler” way to update your fitness numbers, but staring at a ramp graph while your legs turn to lead isn’t exactly the most inspiring way to spend an hour.

To help you push through the burn, we’ve added a mash-up video to the Half Monty fitness ramp! We’ve curated a high-energy showcase of iconic moments from across all our content channels. It’s the same scientific protocol you know (and love-to-hate), but with a much better view to keep you motivated when the ramp gets steep.

  • The Science: Your FTP, MAP, and THR numbers will update exactly as before and all your previous workout history will remain visible.

  • The Storyline: We’ve refreshed the narrative a little, but the core instructions remain the same.

Sounds excellent! But it’s only been 20 days since my most recent Half Monty. It’ll be a while before I go for that again!

This is awesome! Super stoked to ride it. Any chance it can be switched every couple years. I don’t want to get to an effort in The Model (or some other workout) that all I can think about is just trying to stay alive during half Monty because that’s what happens to be playing during every step that pushes me past my limit in HM.

Are we ever going to get the “promised” revision that shortened the constrained effort part of the test.
