Help me decide on a color scheme for my new bike

I’ve been stuck for over 2 weeks trying to decide on which colors to choose for my new bike. It’s an Orbea, so I can pick and match plenty of colors, but I just can’t pick the final design. I really like their yellow and sky blue, but I’m not sure if combining both makes the bike too flashy? I’m not a fan of stealth look, but I also don’t want a Christmas show. Here’s my current “final” pick, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!

That’s nice! I like the blue on top too, though I’d keep the seat post black.

Personally , I am more a stealth fan but if I had to pick colours, I’d have a combo of red (for suffering), white (for the purity of suffering) and black (for suffering).

Edit: I should add that I love the range of colours on other people’s bikes and admire their often bold choices, the bolder the better. It’s just that I’ve never felt I could pull it off myself so keep all my flash to my socks :joy:

Definitely not a bad combo! I see this will only get worse with every new suggestion

and the KoS decal would look pretty swell on that too!!

Edit: I’m a sucker for classic colours and I can’t see myself ever tiring of that combo.

Can you work up a version with the red on the bottom?

Of course. You can also play with the colors yourself using this link.

nah, red looks better as the top colour. Your instinct was right. If I saw that in a store, I’d buy it (that is, if it were completely black with a mat finish lol!!)

FWIW I prefer the original Blue/Yellow combo although yes maybe a black seatpost, and no I don’t think it’s too flashy.

To my eyes the red top, white bottom combo looks like it should say “Trek” on the downtube.

Personal opinion - the correct colour for a road bike is matt bare titanium.

The first thought that popped into my head when I saw that was the Ukrainian flag. It does look very nice.

That’s funny because I was also looking at the Madone and almost all of them are indeed red.

That was my impression as well and what initially kept me away from it - I don’t want my bike being mistaken for a political message by some idiot and thrashing it (I’ve heard it happening to cars with Ukrainian flag stickers).

Fair point and not something I’d thought about but yes, (sadly) a good reason to maybe choose something else.

I love it, especially with the blue seat post

I’d fight you over that  :joy: :joy: It’s the “rule” of thirds…

Edit: though I still prefer the red top, white bottom, black everywhere else. This is SUFFERLANDRIA!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I really like the blue/yellow Ukrainian colour scheme you already have… Looks great.

This would be the gaudy monstrosity that I’d go for, personally…

That’s certainly a unique approach, but the colors do work well together.

I would suggest you can’t go wrong with any color, as long as they’re all black.
Sir @Glen.Coutts, your photoshop skills please :sunglasses::black_heart:

Hehe. Sir Denis is no fan of the stealth colour so I don’t see him being a fan of my new bike, The Black Knight.
