Help me to understand this Wahoo. This morning I did Phil Gaimon’s Openers workout and had, well, continuous HR connection drop outs on the Windows PC SYSTM App, ANT+ connection. Everytime the HR connection would drop on the WINDOWS PC, I would look over at my iPhone, BLT connection, where the HR was reading just fine. I would look at my old Garmin 500 cycling computer, ANT+ connection, and the HR was reading just fine. I would then look at my Apple watch and my HR would be reading just fine while the connection on the PC was 0 with a “device error” window in the upper right of the screen. I am using a Wahoo TickR HR strap. How is it that I had continuous HR dropouts this morning on the Windows PC app but all three of the other devices, the iPhone, the Garmin computer and the Apple Watch, especially the iPhone and the old Garmin Edge 500 computer, never dropped connection during the numerous dropouts on the Windows PC app?
I would review the potential issues on this page https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000359464-TICKR-Troubleshooting and submit a ticket if you see this often.
Hi @Eric is your trainer connecting to SYSTM via Ant+ as well ? or via Bluetooth im guessing if its a Windows its Ant+. Is your pc running Windows 11 ? I had a problem with my kicks bike and the Tacx App where I had to redownload and install the Ant+ Drivers as they were not up to date. I am not sure this is the problem though if your trainer works but HR Strap doesn’t with SYSTM.
I’ve had similar problems with HR in SYSTM. I had to reboot my pc while adding some additional moisture to the strap and then switched on and off the various settings. In truth I’m not sure which intervention got things working but something did and it’s fine now.
Speaking of SYSTM, it often fails to load on my iPhone requiring a reboot or even a reinstalling of the app. As if this moment it’s failed to open, just a blank page😒
I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling, we have had a few reports of this over the years but investigations came up short. Uninstalling will clear the storage and usually fixes the issue, if you continue to have problems please reach out to our support team https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Hi,
Yes, thanks for that. It’s pretty much what I’m doing but really shouldn’t have to. Hopefully, your tech bods will sort it soon.
Thanks again.

I used to have lots of problems with Cadence and HR dropping (either micro-dropouts or for multiple seconds at a time) a lot in SYSTM while conntected to my PC with Bluetooth. So instead I connected my HR and Cadence sensors with Ant+ and no longer have an issue. BT provides a faster connection, but HR and Cadence don’t change rapidly enough to need that fast of a connection. So only my trainer is connected with BT. And that also means less interference for my trainer connection which almost never disconnects on BT.
Hi Evan (Sir),
That’s useful to know, thanks.
In SYSTM, connections from my laptop to Kickr Core via BT are good with no dropouts. HR is solid too as is cadence. But, when I try to connect my Assiomo dual power meters SYSTM is not seeing them. I’ve tried to select Ant+ in Devices in a workout but it won’t select and only BT is available. So, that’s a bit of a bummer!
As a newbie there’s a lot of tech to get my head around to get things just as I want so it may well be a journey (not to long, I hope🤞) of discovery to finally get there.
Thanks again.

Hi @Channelmike this might sound like a really stupid question but you do have an ANT+ usb stick plugged into your Windows PC ? If so there is a chance you might need to delete or update the drivers on the USB stick for it to work properly with SYSTM and or other devices.
Hi Shane,
Not a stupid question at all. No, I don’t have that dongle and I now know why Ant+ is not showing as an option!
Next stop Amazon Prime .
Appreciate that.
