Kicker Bike Shift - New to smart trainer, shifters seem off?!

I have a new kicker bike shift and I can’t figure out how to use the shifters. When i press the top button on the right lever it get harder, when i press the bottom button it gets significantly harder, when i hold down the bottom button for a few seconds it drops down to nil. I know that this should be straightforward, but for someone that is new to smart trainers I think I am missing something. My profile is set to a sram mechanical to emulate my GRX setup. Rear brake on the left. I have been trying to get support on this issue for weeks and I am beginning to think I am i teracting with a bot. I have done troubleshooting to make sure tilt is not activated and no other wahoo apps are running. I am running SYSTM on an ipad that is plugged into HDMI on a TV. I have gotten rid of the lag with airplay and erg mode seems to work properly. All I want to know is how to go up and down my “casette”.

I will add a note that I am wearing an Element Rival to broadcast my heartrate to SYSTM on the iPad, and it is connected to the kicker bike through the SYSTM app only.

I just completed revolver in level mode at 0% and didn’t shift once in the session and the resistance kept jumping around. Maybe I have a bad handlebar/shifter?

Thanks!!!

I might be missing something here, but you mention you have the bike set to “SRAM mechanical”, but are only using the right shifter.

SRAM mechanical won’t “emulate [your] GRX setup”, it will emulate SRAM mechanical which uses both sides shifters, so both buttons on the right are essentially the same thing.
If you want it to behave like your GRX setup then you need Shimano shifting, not SRAM.

Excellent comment! i don’t know why I selected SRAM :joy: doh!! I will give it another go after having switched to Shimano (Di2 or mechanical).
Thanks
