Kicker Bike V2 - Failing Shifters

Hi,

I have had my V2 Kicker bike since October 2022. In that time I am now on my third set of shifters and these ones were replaced only in August and already I am finding the shifters not connecting. All seems fine when replaced but it’s taken no time at all for them to fail again.

It just seems crazy and expensive for these to keep being replaced but without them there is no racing, and just a world of ERG mode rides.

I have seen over time a number of other people reporting the problem, normally starting with the left shifter which is what I see but last night I was in a position with neither working. Any thoughts at all on other places to look for the problem all I can think is it’s somewhere in the box the shifters connect into. I do clean the shifter connection point as well, although that also seems a weakness given where it’s placed right under where a lot of sweat will go, as you enter the mines of Sufferlandria.

I can only dream of a KB2 but feel your pain. I hate it when a great piece of kit fails to do what it’s designed to do. I’m sure this goes without saying but if you haven’t already, make sure you contact support (again :frowning: )

Yes another email sent to support, I am sure they will replace again but it seems a waste as I guarantee in a few months it will be broken again. Good job I can set the right to synchro mode so when it decides to work I get enough gears.

I do find it curious that they’d place the connection so close to where there’s potential for holy water ingress. This is an indoor training kit after all. Maybe the v3 will change that some day.
