KICKR Climb!

Somedays you get an unexpected surprise email about something that you’ve wanted for a while but you’ve had it in a pending file in the back of your mind hopefully awaiting a significant price drop. Today was that day and Wahoo made my day today!:slightly_smiling_face: :+1:

Congrats, Sir! I consider this an indispensable bit of indoor training kit. For me, it provides a massive increase in my level of engagement while riding indoors. It excels most on sims like TPv, Rouvy, Zwift etc but in the SUF, OL, and AWW rides where gradient is encoded, it’s pretty freakin awesome too!

I honestly would not train indoors without it now that I’ve had it since late 2018.

Enjoy your enhanced suffering.

Sir Glen, thanks for your input. I don’t know how long the sale is going on for, but I’m tempted to get one. I’m riding outside now, but I know the cold days will be here soon. I would be interested in other people’s thoughts as well.

I purchased a KICKR CLIMB in spring of 2023 a couple of months before my Knighthood attempt, and it was a revelation to me also! I thought it would just be a kind of gimmick, but I’ve been as pleased as Sir Glen with this product.

Gah! The Climb is on sale!

But the Kickr MOVE adaptor is out of stock! :frowning:

Well, it was too good to pass up.

Hopefully the MOVE adaptor comes back in stock soon!

I think we missed a great opportunity for these to have some fun name like HIKER because it’s a little boot on the CLIMB (accessories seem to keep their vowels)

Funnily enough, I was just telling my wife about the Climb base adaptor being out of stock and went to show it to her… and lo and behold it was back in stock! Time for a new order.

If you’re even half as impressed as I am with the Climb you’re gonna LOVE it. Combined with the Move, I’ve got some serious kit envy!!!

Haha. Yep. Knowing literally nothing about climbing, I’d have gone with the Crampon or Sling (Crampn or Slng)

I’ve been considering one before winter training season, although I’ve always had concerns with the regular reviews of the belt snapping.

I did have the belt fray (and the unit fail, during one of my vEveresting attempts) back in Dec 2020, and the always stellar support got me sorted with a replacement in just over 2 weeks, and that was at Xmas time. The replacement has been fine ever since :folded_hands:

I had a failure when my Climb was only about two months old. Received a whole new unit in less than two weeks in time for the SUF Tour that year. Never a problem since

Yeah, I’ve heard nothing but good things about their customer service regarding it.
Problem is, I live in AK. Shipping is insane…don’t you know we’re overseas and a different country from the rest of the US?

Ha. I know. And, I live in Canada which would like to remain a different country than the rest of the US  :man_facepalming:t3:

Wow, I ordered mine on Thursday and it shipped from a local dealer and arrived TODAY! That will give me plenty of time to set it up on my rest day tomorrow. Tho, I still need to order the MOVE adaptor which is now already back in stock.

I also enjoyed the not-so-updated packaging with The Sufferfest as one of the Indoor Training Solutions. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes::+1:

Mine arrived in two days as well. Actually, less than that as I ordered it late Wednesday evening and it arrived early Friday afternoon. We had better save that packaging as everything Sufferfest is slowly becoming a thing of the past.

@Glen.Coutts Just do you know, Sir, that the vast majority of us USer’s want Canada to remain a different country than the rest of the US as well  :slightly_smiling_face:

I recommend The Way Out as a shakedown workout to get the feel of your new toy once you’re all set up. Some good gradients in the double digits while riding the likes of the Zoncolan! (Not too mention a good playlist too, in my opinion)

When you’re used to it, try UCI Centre 6: MTB Race. Some extreme grades there!
