Just for you I did Defender at 101% today on my new HM numbers. lol.
The initial 2 minutes of MAP is always the hard part to get through. Once I get through those first 2 minutes I know I will make it through the remaining 8 minutes at under threshold.
My favorite song kicks in with 4:30 to go in the last interval. And the title and artist are mislabeled. It’s NOT Elecktrobeat by Luigi Talluto. It ISRichter by Makeup and Vanity Set. Then with 2:00 to go in that last interval I despise that next song (Life is a Cycle). It’s just way too chill for the last 2 minutes of a really hard workout. But once the worst is over and the recovery kicks in with “A Way For Us” all is good again.
Yeh I saw that Sir. You tagged me on Strava. You’re like a Grampa who texts their grandkid then sends them an email asking if they got the text and then calls to ask if they got either text or email.
My 2018 Kickr Core has just suffered the same issue you had last year @emacdoug, looking like a £250 out of Warranty Replacment with the same year and model and 120 days warranty.
Not bad I guess, it could have gone at anytime I suppose.
Just want to second the statement about how great Wahoo support is. My two month-old KICKR CLIMB stopped working mid-workout 8 days before the Tour start (a Saturday). On Monday when they replied to my support request, they quickly determined it needed to be replaced. As soon as I shipped the faulty unit, they put in the order for a new one, and I received it on Saturday! Wonderfully quick, and in time for the tour!
Yeah, looks like the Kickr is junk. I got a 2018 v5 model, worked OK for a while, then just stopped transmitting power and cadence despite being paired. Heck, even Directconnect doesn’t work on this POS. Will see if Wahoo steps up, otherwise will be adding lots of addenda to DC Rainmaker’s reviews of this thing. Too many complaints on too many forums about their product.
I’m currently facing the same issue. My Kickr V4 worked for years and from one moment on, the kickr doesn’t transmit watts and cadence anymore, but only speed. Via this way, I can’t perform any workouts on ERG-mode etc and it doesn’t give any proper resistance. @wahoo please assist
Sounds like the same controller board burnout seen on all V4 and v5 Kickrs. There’s no way to repair or replace just the board, as I learned through extensive investigation with Wahoo. QA was bad for those versions. I was able to get Wahoo to cut a deal on sending the dead unit back and sending out a v6 for $600 plus $50 shipping plus taxes. Can’t say I was thrilled but at least they did something to stand by their product. You are not alone with this, just Google dead wahoo kickr
