Kickr Rollr resistance is too high

Hello,
I’ve recently purchased a brand new Kickr Rollr. I have correctly setup without problems but when i ride on the Rollr, the resistance of the roller is too high, making unrealistic and unsatisfied experience.

I am using onboard power meter, the tires are setup with high presure, the bike is fine supported on both roller. Can you help me with this issue?

Thank you!

Hi @FerGC and welcome this always sounds like a stupid question but did you check the firmware to make sure it’s the latest software available, think you can check this in the Wahoo App under devices, after updating turn it off for 30 secs then turn it back on again.

You’d also maybe be best to put a ticket into Support they usually get things sorted pretty quickly. https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Thanks you for your response. I did it, i have the lastest firmware.

There were people with the same issue a few months ago you could try these but submitting a ticket is the best way for help

  1. Tire pressure way up. For real it helps. At the upper end of what you think reasonable given the size of your tires. This will also make the virtual power much more accurate.

  2. Small gear. I do most of my erg mode rides on ROLLR in the small ring and the middle of a 11-32 cassette, and I’m a biggish dude. The only time I need the big ring is for 5 or 10 sec sprints in level mode.

  3. Make sure the ROLLR length is set right. With you not on the bike, make sure there aren’t any gaps between the tire and either roller. See if you can easily slip a piece of paper between the tire and either roller. If the length is off a little bit you’ll have a lot of extra tire deflection on one roller increasing the resistance.

I already read that message in the other kickr rollr posts.

I’m going to contact wahoo support, but if no one post a solution, i imagine that there’s none.

Thank you.

Keep you updated if i get a response from wahoo team.
