KICKR4 Spindown failed

Hello

My husband has a kickr v4 that he bought in 2020. Every winter the bike goes back on the trainer and we complete the spindown. This year we are having trouble with the spindown failing everytime. We get up to 22km/hr and then it drops down to 11-12km/htlr everytime.

I tried my trainer. Same one and was able to complete the spindown no problem so it cant be the app?

We have tried all the troubleshooting. Unplugged the trainer for 30sec, reinstalled the app, etc…

Any ideas?

Assuming you have the latest Wahoo App and have the latest firmware for the Kickr. Should be KICKR '18 Firmware v3.5.2 - 13 October 2021

If that doesn’t do it, and you’re sure there’s nothing else interfering with the signal or trying to nab the Kickr (could be a prior app it was paired to like Zwift or SYSTM or anything really).

You might need to reach out to support when they’re back to work after Jan 1.

Thanks for your reply. Our firmware version is 1.5 36…for both of us. I was able to do my spindown no problem. And we have both used Zwift previously.

When i unistalled the app on his phone and then reinstalled it the same firmware version came back. I checked google play and there arent any updates…

I submitted a ticket but was hoping to solve this sooner…

I’d try turning Bluetooth off on absolutely everything in the house except the one phone with the wahoo app for your husbands Kickr. Also make sure that ALL other apps on that phone have also been force closed and maybe even restart the phone too.

If still nothing then I’m out of suggestions.
