I figured out that rider is Julien Vermote (who won a stage of the 2016 Tour of England, which is why he also popped up in The Shovel).
The Tinkoff rider who comes in second place in The Trick is Rafał Majka (stage 15, 2016). Now I just need to figure out who is Butter Boy in the first half of Butter.
I’m pretty sure there’s another thread that may already have that info. And if not, this would be a good addition.

Sep Vanmarcke, Butterboy in Butter.
He rode for Lotto (as did Butter Boy in the latter half of Butter). Butter Boy in the first half rode for Tinkoff.
Ooops… you are right, Sep is butter boy in the second half.
