In the summer I achieved a long held goal by cycling from Lizard Point (southernmost point of England) to Dunnet Head (nothernmost tip of Scotland) but now I need another challenge. I did my Knighthood a couple of years ago and I think a second crack might be “fun”
I’m intrigued… have many people done multiple Knighthoods or is it a one and out sort of thing?! What’s the record?
To keep it interesting I’m going to let the wheel of suffering choose my videos. Could someone post a link to the wheel please?
For “normal” Knights ( ) it’s typically one and done. There are no records, afaik, of how many hav done multiple but there are several that have done it twice and VERY few who have done it more than that. I’m not sure if he has the record or not, but he will. I am talking of the inimitable Sir Evan @emacdoug who has somehow turned it into an annual(ish) thing. He’s done 5. There may be one other that has done that.
I considered doing the 10 longest but decided letting fate decide would be more interesting. Maybe next time. There definitely won’t be an 11th video though I can tell you that much!
From days of old, long before the wheel of suffering, there lived the “pot of misery” (complete with TrainerRoad workout graphs cos, well, days of old). Unlucky pick a workout, do the workout, unlucky pick the next, rinse, repeat. Highly recommended
Eagle eyed Sir Glen might notice the presence of Extra Shot but fear not, said pot was not actually used for my KoS ride, even though that was my “no plan plan”. Instead I woke up one day and decided to start the 2013 ToS route… and then decided to carry on and finish the 2013 ToS route (more or less). And once a Knight always a Knight so that was that, anything that may or may not have followed was just bonus old-skool-no-rule Suffering or something
p.s. many have done more than one 10. Some (although only two that I know of) have done 24 hours of Suffering. Others have mixed up challenges based on the ineligibles, non-Sufferfests etc etc. There’s been all kinds of Suffermadness over the years, some recorded, some lost in the annals of SUFtime like so much else (sadface emoji). But, whatever you choose to do, Suffer well and may GvA have mercy on your soul

Yes to that, too. Same with my third. That way I included them all in one way or another. And I also did 10 in my first, 11 in my second, and 12 in my third.
My fourth was a copy of my first.
Then a couple more were added so I had to do a fifth to finish them all.
Although, with the few that were recently removed, some new maths might be in order.
Good things I did 2 last year because with covid and my recovery now itself dragging out, I’m not going to be in any condition to do another one this year.
Tho I do have an alternate plan in mind to move it to Feb. But I’ll post that in my own thread if it comes to fruition.
