OTOH, if @emacdoug does FC, we won’t get to hear about it.

When I fell asleep last night, the KOS and WOS teams were even at $15,155 each. I was sort of hoping it might stay that way…

I woke up in the middle of the night after the closing time and the Women of Sufferlandria had pulled ahead again (and no one can fault the charitable support).

Congratulations are in order to ALL members and a THANK YOU to all donors to BOTH teams!

I have reached out to @emacdoug with what I think is a fitting SUF video. Awaiting his response.

I think this is slightly inflated since the official cutoff time, maybe  (EDIT - Lisa says not)

Unfortunately(?), I was not a winner in Gertude von Agony’s SUF/KOS jersey giveaway, so no accelerated or “forced” KOS attempt in my immediate future.

The WoS were pretty determined after last year when Wahoo took the win from us in the last 30 minutes. The numbers aren’t over inflated, I checked before cutoff and they were the same. A few people have companies that will match their fundraising efforts too, and those numbers aren’t showing yet. So the fundraising efforts overall will likely be a wee bit higher than what we’re seeing now which is awesome!

A pity about no accelerated Knighthood tho. Are you SURE you’re not feeling super inspired?

We are getting into great weather now here in the western end of North Carolina, USA… indoor riding dialed back and outdoor rides the new norm. Should there a be a good block of bleak weather and if it’s not too hot, maybe sooner than next indoor deason.

@jesawdy has come to a final decision.

After some consultation with the race jury and the commissars, the UCI has chosen to overlook a slight irregularity and agreed that the choice is within the spirit of the competition.

So without further ado, the workout I will be riding for all of April will be…

drumroll…

Alternating between Hell Hath No Fury and Who Dares.

With the preliminary results showing the Women of Sufferlandria team topping the Knights of Sufferlandria team in the DPF overall fundraising standings, this seems a fitting tribute.

And so I will finish polishing my helmet, waxing my chain prior to the final 20k mark, and working up an appropriate schedule for the month of April.

Thank you, @jesawdy, for getting us over our goal.

Thank you to everyone on the team for doing your part.

Thank you for everyone who donated.

Thank you to everyone who cheered us on and supported our efforts.

Good luck and Godspeed, Sir Evan @emacdoug !

I’ll sneak in at least one Hell Hath No Fury with you in April.

Thanks all! It’s been a fun ride.

I will not promise to ride either but I will check in now and again to see how you’re doing and show that I really do care Sir @emacdoug :innocent:

Also, Chris Wright @cdwright22, the donor who pushed me personally me over $2,000, gets the honor of me riding every workout in April with a knight’s helmet on.

And on top of that, I am giving him the honor of picking out a workout video (only KoS eligible videos) that I will ride one time during the month of April in addition to all the HHNF and Who Dares sessions.

And on top of that, my top 3 donors - if they so choose - can also pick a video of their own for me to ride in April in addition to all other videos I will be riding.

Wish me luck. :crossed_fingers:

Edit: Looks like I’ll be riding Violator some time in April. Now we’ll wait and see what the top 3 donors decide to do…

I would agree that this plan IS a worthy chapeaux de suffrance to the WoS. Well played, @jesawdy.

Though if we’re (you’re - thank God) going with a theme, might I humbly suggest you finish the month with Blender? Seems only fitting.

Holy cow. We raised over $15,000! I’m proud of each and every one of you for the part you played.

We were a close second to a very motivated Women of Sufferlandria team, and we showed those Wahfooligans that Sufferlandria is still very much alive and well and cannot be ignored.

I didn’t win top fundraiser or anything like that - Pete Huley is in a league of his own - but I was super excited to win a signed jersey!

In fact, i was so excited about winning that my first reaction was to want to tell my dad. After all, my FB profile photo is of us wearing matching 7-11 jerseys. And those are my earliest memories of watching cycling with my dad. And cycling is of course one of those massive bonds between him and I.

Seconds later reality hit me.

Bittersweet. But still very cool.

It will have a high place of honor in my pain cave when it arrives.

Nice win Sir! Bittersweet though it might be. I was sure I’d win the Kickr Bike but apparently not. :man_shrugging:t3:

This team wouldn’t have been here without you. Like you said, between the KoS, the WoS, and Gerry and the Sufbuckets the Sufferlandrian in us is strong.

Let’s hope The Company took notice. Time will tell. We know the wahoominati will be watching.

I’ve heard their jersey design is nearing the final stages  #twaaw IWBMATTKYT
