Sufferlandrian National Team updates 2025

Hail, Sufferlandrians! Have you Suffered today?

You all are a bunch of badass fundraisers! We are the #1 team by nearly an order of magnitude! Behold:

We are responsible for 13.4% of total funds raised to date. And we are 75% of the way to our admittedly random, chosen by me with no input, metrics, or expectations of any sort fundraising goal of $15,000.

Maybe it’s time to switch our strategy from publicity-hogging doomed early breakaway to keeping that lead all the way to glorious victory!

That’s awesome but……

I’m far from a badass fundraiser.

It’s a team effort, Sir. We are ALL stronger together.

Especially if I can find some people who want to do stupid stuff. :grinning:

Are you going to make me? I have a SERIOUS lack of motivation. I also still have a goat suit somewhere…

Note exhibit A: Couchlandrian tendancies:

You know there’s a Cure for that, right, Dame Lisa?

It may indeed be the Greatest suit Of All Time!

Mmmm, debating taking the Cure. Will start by commuting tomorrow by bike. This will be a challenge in 98% humidty.

Possibly the greatest suit. However while it may LOOK like the one David McQ wore, it is not the same one. Mine has done a few more tours and stages tho…thanks to some monetary heckling. Aye @Heretic

didn’t you recently spend some time in an infectious region a bit further north?

My suggestions (since GvA has not given me subpoena power, I cannot force you to a flogging station - maybe we need remote controlled flogging stations):

Do the Cure or No Place Like Home instead of Primers before the Tour
Do Every non-Sufferlandrian workout in a Goat Suit
Do a Sufferlandrian workout on the days when a non-SUF one is scheduled in addtion to the non-SUF workout (does not have to be done at 100%)

Terms to be negotiated…perhaps other people have ideas for @DameLisa?

There’s a rule, I’m pretty sure it’s carved in the Lava Snow on Mt. SUF that “who suggests the thing must do the thing” or something along those lines.

As for me, I am still weighing my options as I have bulked up once again in prep for the Tour.

I am too old (seriously) to do stupid workout things. The recovery from a stupid exercise stunt can take enough time that I actually lose fitness.

The wahoominati award 2 SUF points for creative excuse making.

@DameLisa asked for suggestions.

I will rephrase my statement.

Too much suffering at one time will cause me to miss opportunities to suffer in the future which will over the long term decrase the total amount of suffering accomplished.

Make sense?

I understood what you meant the first time but I appreciate the reworking  The wahoominati award you 2 more SUF points for the more SUF response. That said, if you miss opportunities for suffering, is that not suffering?

Edit: also, I might actually be relegated and DNS :frowning:

I resemble that remark. I’m pushing 70 and not recovering as quickly as I used to. I need to train consistently just to keep from losing ground.

My detraining is almost complete :man_facepalming:t3:
