First click on your profile pic, then on the next page, you should see a line under your name, with your rider type. You gotta click the rider type line to get the detailed athlete profile.
Edit: I should add that I’m not even sure if this is supposed to be fully public yet
Edit 2: also, I’m in iOS so not sure if it’s the same on Android if that’s your OS
@titanicus I dumped the app and reinstalled from the App Store, version 6.53.0, and also don’t see this where Sir @Glen.Coutts (though thanks for the effort, Sir Glen!). So it’s not just you…
In all seriousness, if it hasn’t shown up in the next 24 hrs I’d contact support. It’s supposed to be quicker if you uninstall and reinstall but that obviously didn’t work for you two.
Edit: I should add, I’m not entirely sure what the point of this new profile is in terms of our training and such but I guess maybe they’ll tell us something on Monday
So just to muddle the waters, I rarely even open the Wahoo app; the only time is to maybe change the gear setup on my KICKR Bike.
But I just opened it tonight and immediately see the boxing glove icon in upper left corner, with the label ATTACKER beside it.
In SYSTM, I’m still shown as a Rouleur. Last FF was in mid-January.
When I clicked on the Wahoo ATTACKER with Boxing Glove icon, (and then select the ATTACKER Athlete Profile AGAIN) it opened a page with comments about “not seeing the same in SYSTM” and a Quiz, etc. I’ll attach a pic of that screen on my Android phone.
I took the questionnaire out of curiosity. Then I made the mistake not to press ”discard”. Now my numbers are based on an estimation, instead of a fairly recent FF. Not wildly off, but enough to bug me. Can’t find a way to reset. Any ideas (that don’t include a new 4DP-test)?
That would sure make me angry! I hope there’s a way to reset that, but I don’t know how in the Wahoo app. The SYSTM app allows you to edit the numbers in the app, at least on PC.
At the very LEAST, that Questionnaire should come with a WARNING that this would change the numbers for you and (Might?) not allow you to change them back?
Thank you, BTW, for giving us advance warning NOT to do the Questionnaire!
I have to say, the way this SYSTM vs Wahoo app confusion is being handled is very unprofessional and inconsiderate of the confusion to customers. I’m frankly unable to grasp how the disparity just continues…
Well, I guess we all have plenty of opportunity to experience being guinea pigs…
How long will it take before they can drive all the rats off the ship? We are indeed a hardy bunch, but…
The science people were probably using some regression or machine learning algorithm in the first place to establish the classification rules. The rules were probably some ratio of the 4DP components with each other (they say as much in the FF test).
Whether the new scheme is better, I do not know. Isn’t better analysis what @Coach.Mac.C is working on?
Wahoo Sport Science is sadly reduced in numbers but I am sure Mac Cassin and his peers are still going strong behind the scenes, albeit sadly less visible to the public.
“Recommended for you” was rolled out in SYSTM and will hopefully be improved over time and now wahoo is improving the Rider type Algorithm and FTP/MAP/AC/NM rating. This was surely a lot of work. If this is based on the whole wahoo data collection the data set is surely way bigger than what The Sufferfest had at the time for its first 4DP. I’m sure they are planning for more but with a reduced team and for a solid foundation to base everything on development sadly takes most of the time a lot longer than one hopes for.
It’s a good sign to see the wahoo app improving regularly with each release and major resources being poured into. Now it even supports 4DP which is great. All this along all the other efforts they are doing in parallel. Designing gen 3 headunits, while still supporting gen 1 and gen 2 alongside all KICKRs etc. is a big compatibility effort.
I’m also impatient for a lot of things but have to reduce my expectation and build up patience. I just hope my gen1 ELEMNT, which is still going strong since 2016, lasts until a gen3 roam is finally here
