I’ve just put a support request in for the following. With it being the weekend, I’m guessing I won’t get a reply for a little while, so thought I would also ask here.
I’ve now tried over the last two days to do the new Recharger workout from the Systm app on a Windows 11 computer.
The screen for the workout opens as usual, however there is no video played when I start the workout. The app is correctly finding all my sensors and the storyline (the writing that appears over the video) also plays with no issues.
While the app is finding/loading my sensors for the smart trainer, etc. I get the warning message ‘Video error. The video could not be downloaded’ although this message is greyed out and difficult to read (see attachment). I am also unable to download the workout if I try - getting the message 'Recharger failed to download).
I am able to play (and download) all the other workouts I have tried, including those that I have never used before.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Systm app and there have been no changes/updates that I know of to my computers or the router settings.
Interestingly, I have just now tried to play the Recharger workout on my Mac laptop and I am getting the same issue as with the Windows pc. Perhaps this means there is something at my end, although it is only the Recharger workout that I am having issues with, so very strange.
I have also having the same issue if I connect the laptop to a different network and not through my router, but my mobile.
Would anyone have any suggestions on the cause of this and what can be done to correct it?
Sometimes they’re doing a little tweak on the back end and the video is temporarily unavailable. I just tried it now and was able to stream the whole thing.
I DL’d and did the new revamped Rechager this afternoon. It worked flawlessly. The only issue I had was some audio cut-outs on the iOS app but other than that, no problems.
Still no luck with me either playing or downloading the new Recharger. I’m guessing it is something from my end, however I am only having this issue with Recharger. I’m able to play and/or download any of the other workouts irrespective of whether I’ve used them before or not.
I’ve also now found that I’m having the same issue when using the Systm app on my Windows 11 desktop, Mac laptop and also my android mobile. This had me thinking it’s something with the router, however I’m also unable to play Recharger on my laptop when at work.
I’ve tried the following:
logged out and back into Systm.
uninstalled and reinstalled Systm
turned off firewalls & virus scanners (although my pc and the work laptop run very different programs and settings)
tested the laptop and android mobile on different networks (home and work networks)
all without success.
I’ve heard back from support today, who have suggested I try the steps I’ve already listed above. So I’ll pass my lack of success on to them as well.
What intrigues me is that the issue is only happening with Recharger, none of the other workouts.
Hopefully I can get things sorted out soon.
I’m in Australia - just in case that makes a difference
Perhaps related? Rode the new Recharger this morning and still had the old one downloaded on my MacBook, deleted the downloaded one and hit start and the video didn’t load, just black screen. Finished workout and tried again with same result. After quitting SYSTM and trying again it worked perfectly.
Opened up Recharger this morning to try your suggestion, to find that the workout is now working. I’m guessing they have changed something on the Wahoo side (chiffola’s suggestion?).
Anyhow the workout is now working, I did it this morning and was happy to have that music recharging the batteries again. Although I must admit until Recharger was removed, I was probably doing it too much instead of suffering with some real workouts.
