Convenient that you selectively left out “list” from the quote about showing the number of times ridden, because that’s key to the problem: the day after Systm launched dozens of users asked for the number of times ridden to be shown in the workout list beside duration/TSS/IF, as it had previously. I don’t want to click through two or three more times to get to the history, I just want to see at a glance in the workout list how many times I’ve ridden them. It’s incredibly basic functionality that was removed when they changed from SF, we were told years ago “don’t worry many improvements are coming!”, and here we are years later and it’s still missing along with sort by last ridden.
@Skibikehike That wasn’t intentional and I was just showing you where the information could be found but I now know that in the future I will just mute your posts. More than you!
Like what though? There’s lots of stuff out there but NOTHING with The Sufferfest, plus plans, plus strength and mobility, plus yoga, plus mental training, plus Pro Rides, Plus On Location stuff, plus A Week With, plus some great No-Vids.
I came for The Sufferfest vids, I’ll stay as long as they maintain the library of SUF vids. Let us know if you find something equally engaging. I’ve yet to see anything that comes close.
Also, wahoo is really a hardware company so it’s not surprising that they’re not throwing all their limited resources into software, as much as we’d all like them to.
Edit: I’ll add that I understand your personal experience hasn’t been great but I gotta wonder what’s up with that or your setup. Have you been able to try the android app or iOS? Maybe I’m just lucky but I’ve been running macOS since the beginning of time and rarely run into any kind of issue I can’t fairly readily resolve. Same goes for the iOS app for me.
Yes, I would have to second that. I’ve only ever run System on an M1 Mac and I never have any issues. My wife uses System on an Intel Mac and also hasn’t experienced any issues. I have no experience using it on Windows however.
I will say that one time a couple years back, I was traveling. I had a slow hotel internet connection and the app was barely usable. I eked out a workout on a gym bike. Entirely the wrong type of suffering.
It might be worthwhile to offer a checklist or faq/kb for users having problems, as a quick way to weed out environmental factors.
I’ve been giving TrainerRoad a try the last month or two. It’s got it’s own quirks and certainly doesn’t have a lot of the extras that Systm has. The plans are infinitely more flexible though, and the AI FTP detection and plan adaptation is pretty neat, especially since I do a lot of other stuff outside cycling that Systm isn’t able to recognize or accommodate for.
That said, I may well come back to Systm, primarily for the yoga/strength workouts along with On Location. I’m pretty terrible at sticking to plans and am not a min/max kind of guy with my cycling as I primarily do it for recreation and general health (never owned a road bike and the couple times I raced MTB it was a corporate team at a 24 hour race and I enjoyed drinking beer with my buds as much as the 2-3 laps I grudgingly did).
The good news is that turning off GPU acceleration seems to have addressed most of the crashes I was having. The PC’s I’ve run the desktop app on have typically been high end built for gaming, so perhaps it’s a driver/compatibility issue. The bad news is I see that basic features that were present in the SUF days are STILL being ignored when requested, which is pretty ridiculous at this point: Sort by "Last Ridden"
100%!!
SYSTM needs some love. I’m hoping this is the year it gets it!
You joining the SUF National Squad for The Tour this year?
I really miss this feature too, given up hope of it ever being implemented into SYSTM now
