The Chores - at 4:30 or so when they show you the workout summary, the “First set of 7 x 40/20s” should last 7:00 as opposed to 6:00. Well, they DO last seven minutes, but it should SAY it’s going to last seven minutes
I downloaded the Shovel yesterday, and did the workout today.
That same problem seems to be still there.
Hi. The faulty export is still alive.
@David.McQuillen.KoS I know this is a workout you love to hate, but…
3rd to last song (2nd to last song in the last interval) of Defender is mislabeled.
With 4:40 to go in the last interval is when the song starts. At 4:32 to go in that last interval the title and artist show on screen and they are mislabeled. It’s NOT Elecktrobeat by Luigi Talluto. It IS Richter by Makeup and Vanity Set.
It’s also mislabeled in the song list, as well.
Shows as the second to last song. Elecktrobeat by Luigi Talluto.
It should be Richter by Makeup and Vanity Set.
I’ve found it on Apple Music: (Richter by Makeup and Vanity Set on Apple Music)
Blimey dude, that’s some good sleuthing.
lol, Yeah, I suppose so. ![]()
I really liked that song and wanted to add it to my own playlist of songs, but when I looked up the song in Apple Music I found that the one listed wasn’t it. So, I did some quick work with Shazam and found the correct song. So, didn’t really take too long.
It’s not always this easy. Most of the songs are pretty obscure and a number of them aren’t on any of the major streaming services. As a bit of a audiophile, I give major props to Sir David and the SUF team for finding lots of obscure songs that are really good and work great in the videos.
I have a Complaint or Nit-pick if you will. What happened to the yoga in the event preps? I am doing the mountainous fondo and it doesn’t have yoga as an option so here I am trying to figure it out for myself. Can you put that back as an option? Yoga is super helpful and having to think about which yoga to do instead of having my training block have it schedule for me is a bit stressful. I know I could go in and order up a 7 week plan but it doesn’t quite seem like it lines up right with the block I’m on. Any suggestions?
Fresh enough to be able to read the ticker?
Or suffering so much you had to read the ticker to get through?
Either way, good on ya!
It was during a recovery section, so I was paying attention. I was fixated on the power graph and anything on screen that distracted me if even for a few seconds. Lol.![]()
Hi. On today’s ToSUF Giro Donne the 10 second green/red bar behaved strangely. Not moving smoothly as normal. But jumped and hacked. Anyone noticed this?
Yeah. It’s not even. I think that’s because some of the intervals are very short so it has to go faster than usual. But maybe your seeing something else beyond that—or maybe I wasn’t focused enough to notice.
Ride: Giro d’Italia Donne 1
Time: 1:14:47
Issue: “form here” vice “from here” in text crawl transcription of Directeur Sportif’s transmission.
Platform: iOS
That’s some fine irony right there ![]()
Today I did “14 Vise Grips,” and there was one thing that immediately got me thinking to post this here, even if it is not a typo. At about 37:57, it’s said, “It's clear the women are far more aggressive and brutal than the men today.” From my perspective (as a non-native speaker), it should say, “It's clear the women are riding far more aggressively and brutally than the men today.” That is not because the sentence seems wrong to me, but because I don’t want to think of any athlete as being aggressive or brutal but rather performing aggressively.
Maybe I am a bit too picky here, but it came to my mind so instantaneously that I thought maybe there is something about it. So I wanted to hear your thoughts. And perhaps I am just getting it wrong because I am not a native speaker.
Might be🙂.
While I see your point, I think the “today” at the end of the sentence is sufficient modification. It’s not that the women are inherently more aggressive or brutal, just that they are “today.”
Thank you for your quick reply, @AkaPete. I get your point, I think, but for me, the “today” is not modifying it enough. Any bully would have been more aggressive today, but not the other day, wouldn’t he? And I want to add that my concern was by no means about gender stereotypes. I only wanted to refer to the difference between riding aggressively (which can be a good thing in competition) and being aggressive (always a bad thing).
But again: I am not a native speaker, and it may very well be that “today” is modification enough to the trained ear/eye. I am always happy to learn.
This is why context is important.
It is clear, from the context (a cycle training video of professional cyclists), that the topic in hand is the cycling style of the riders in question. I’d argue that the sentence stands in the context without further clarification.
