RGT Cycling APP

hi! newcomer to system and using it for training, but found that their was a RGT CYCLING APP to ride with friends and on some roads and gravels .
But where to find the app?
Because not in G playstore.
Would be nice it would be integrated in system to ride freely a bit like zwift!
thanks to the older users to hint me and forgive my bad english please…

RGT was part of Systm but Wahoo closed it down when they started to partner with Zwift.

If you wanted to use RGT because it was able to generate routes from your GPX file, you can try Bkool. As far as I know, it’s the only app right now that can create personal routes to ride on.

not cool, i thought so but always pay more to access zwift and do some free cycling, wondering around while indoor beside workout !

anyone knows if app can still run and usable or not?

RGT? No. It can’t be used, even if someone has a copy of it.

You can create your own rides with Ride With GPS and export it to your device.

thanks to all, will go for mywoosh along system to ride freely between trainings.

Sounds like a good idea. I used to use Zwift for free rides but will try out mywoosh and Rouvy this winter and see what I like. I haven’t been a fan of Zwift’s cartoon worlds. With Systm being essentially static since I joined three years ago, I may be looking at different workout platforms too.

I find Rouvy, SYSTM, and riding outside make a good combination.

How is Rouvy these days in terms of number of users? Are there many other riders on the course when you ride?
I like the large amount of riders in Zwift, but everything else doesn’t really add value to me.

Only Zwift has that many riders, every other app is almost dead in that regard. Maybe IndieVelo since it’s a small world, but even that is sparse compared to Zwift.

It depends on the route. If the route is part of a challenge, there can be 60 or more riders on a route at a time. If I ride a route based on what I want to ride on a given day, there can be anywhere for 0-10 riders. If the ride is popular there can be 16-20.

Last night I did a ride and there was only me and one other rider.

Since Rouvy is used by riders throughout the world, I have not noticed differences based on the time of day I ride.

IndieVelo is still in beta, but is now in an open public beta, so it’s starting to gain a lot more users. Still not close to Zwift, yet, of course.

I can’t say that I notice this. As @Heretic mentioned it can be related to the time of day. There’s a lot of routes, so matching routes with people with time zone seems like a big ask to get big groups of riders.

I’ll add that I’m completely uninterested in riding with other people, virtually or otherwise, so this is not a factor for me in app/route selection.

I haven’t yet tried Rouvy myself, but just came across this intro voucher for a 3-month membership for ~$12 with the extra promo code listed, so think I’ll give it a go:

Groupon 3-month membership offer for Rouvy

There’s one thing I’ve heard about the real world rides and that is they either look very good or skip all over the place depending on how close you are to the real world pace the video was recorded at. I would give it a go though.

I have been using ROUVY for years, and I find it a good supplement to SYSTM when riding outdoors is not feasible.

Welp, just started the trial week on Rouvy and did one ride/workout so far. I stuck with the default real road vid, which was on a road through the woods with not much going on. I still liked it much better than cartoonish virtual worlds. I was accompanied by the default 3 bots. The workout player is OK but does have some distinct shortcomings. I’ll probably do a few more workouts in it before the trial period expires, then bail and try something else.

What in this world does not have shortcomings?

I do not do Rouvy workouts, I ride on the routes which I find helps me understand how to balance cadence/effort/feel in a way SYSTM does not.
